CBC Egypt, officially Capital Broadcasting Center, is a Cairo-based free-to-air television channel and a subsidiary of United Media Services. Launched in 2011, it operates within the Future Radio & TV Networks. The network aims to contribute to Egypt’s evolving social fabric by supporting informed public dialogue and providing credible coverage of national affairs. Its programming seeks to widen understanding and bridge societal gaps by presenting the full picture and by offering a platform for diverse voices—from policymakers and thought leaders to students and everyday citizens. It emphasizes balanced discourse across political, economic, and social topics and pursues inclusive dialogue without privileging any political or religious stance. CBC’s portfolio includes CBC, CBC Drama, and CBC Sofra, with high-definition broadcasts on Nilesat; the network also plans further channel expansion to meet varied viewer preferences across Egypt.
