Founded in 1996, the Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Center is a Peoria, Illinois based nonprofit focused on serving people with congenital bleeding disorders. Led by Medical Director Osvaldo H. Wesly, MD, the organization operates within the wellness and fitness services sector and aims to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families. It is the longest standing center of its kind in Illinois outside Chicago to have received federal grants. The center is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors and since 1998 has offered a range of programs including access to blood clotting products, home infusion training, education, and outreach for patients and providers. Its mission encompasses improving quality of life, increasing awareness and access to care, and advancing understanding and treatment through education, research, and advocacy.
