We are a community-based, nonprofit agency dedicated to creating lasting impact across Southern California through meaningful, mission-driven work. 

For 50 years, CDA has helped families thrive by expanding access to affordable, high-quality child care. We administer a child care reimbursement program in San Diego County that empowers eligible parents to choose the provider that best meets their family’s needs—so they can work, pursue education, or seek employment with confidence.

CDA is also the largest sponsor of the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program in California. Through this program, we partner with child care providers to support the delivery of nutritious meals that promote healthy growth and lifelong wellness for children.

The California Department of Social Services selected CDA to administer supplemental payments for eligible child care providers across California—providing critical financial support that helps strengthen programs and sustain the child care workforce.
