CEDA, the Center for Engagement and Advocacy in the Americas, is a small Washington, DC-based organization in the international affairs field. Founded more than 15 years ago and formerly known as the Center for Democracy in the Americas, it aims to influence U.S. policy toward the Americas by fostering dialogue and collaboration among policymakers, civil society, and affected communities. Its work spans economic, social, and environmental justice, migration, climate change, and democratic resilience, with the goal of expanding regional voices in policy discussions that have previously been underrepresented. The organization builds bridges between policymakers and the people affected by policy through partnerships with civil society, youth movements, and other underrepresented communities, and it conducts educational travel to surface regional realities in policy debates.
