Because so many wood chipping lines struggle to meet their required chip production and/or chip quality levels because of limitations at their chipper, CEM’s high production heavy duty wood chippers are preferred over all others. 

Gains are often possible by simply replacing an existing production-limiting disc chipper with a CEM chipper with more knives. CEM’s Heavy Duty chippers vary in size from 96” (2.4 M) to 140” (3.5 M) diameter discs and are typically provided with 12 to 20 knives.

The extremely high value of stand-alone upgrades of existing facilities is that they often require little infrastructure modification except for replacement of the chipper in order to realize substantial performance improvements of the entire chipping system.
