CEN is a Belgium-based non-profit organization that serves as the European Committee for Standardization. It works to remove trade barriers for European stakeholders—industry, public administration, service providers, consumers and others—by developing voluntary European Standards and other specifications. The organization coordinates 31 national standards bodies and mobilizes a broad community of technical experts, business federations, consumer and societal organizations to develop ENs that support the European internal market. Together, the CEN network reaches more than 480 million people.
