The Center City District (CCD), together with the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation (CPDC) and the Center City District Foundation (CCDF), works to strengthen Center City Philadelphia as a vibrant 24-hour downtown and a place to live, work, or enjoy leisure. CCD oversees the management of four signature public spaces in the heart of Center City: Dilworth Park, Sister Cities Park, John F. Collins Park, and Cret Parks. Although governed by separate boards, the three organizations share staff and offices. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, CCD operates as a mid-sized civic and social organization focused on downtown vitality and public-space stewardship. Its activities include coordinating partnerships with city agencies and nonprofits to advance downtown initiatives, and it has led improvements along the Market Street corridor, such as planting trees and refurbishing transit head houses and bus shelters. A March 2026 update notes CCD invested in transit-related assets in Europe.
