Center For Life Resources is a Brownwood, Texas-based provider in the hospitals and health care field, established in 1970 to address mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use among community members. It serves residents in Brown, Eastland, Coleman, Comanche, San Saba, Mills, and McCulloch counties, delivering behavioral health services and supports for individuals with mental health conditions and developmental disabilities, as well as substance use treatment. In addition, its Early Childhood Intervention program serves Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Gillespie, Mason, and Menard counties. The center operates a 24-hour Crisis Intervention Hotline that collaborates with local law enforcement and hospitals to respond to acute needs. Governance is provided by a nine-member board, eight of whose members are appointed by the County Commissioners and one by the Brownwood City Council, representing the counties served. In 2026, the center's CEO, Dion White, received the Sesqui Award for Advocacy from the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
