The Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts (CSNTM) operates in the research services sector with a focus on digitally preserving Greek New Testament manuscripts. Its core activity involves photographing manuscripts held by institutions worldwide and making the resulting images freely accessible through an online searchable library, enabling scholars and researchers to study the manuscripts remotely. Based in Plano, Texas, CSNTM serves academic libraries, archives, monasteries, and other custodians of manuscripts, helping to facilitate collaboration among owners, archivists, and researchers while expanding access to historical materials. In addition to its digitization efforts, the organization has engaged in partnerships and initiatives—such as a recent online interface launch for its Digital Manuscript Collection and collaborations with organizations like The Signatry and Lambeth Palace Library—to broaden access and support preservation work.
