Central Virginia Health Services, Inc. operates community-based health centers in Virginia's hospital and health care sector, based in New Canton, Buckingham County. Founded in November 1970, CVHS began as the Central Virginia Community Health Center to serve Buckingham, Cumberland, and Fluvanna counties. Today it is Virginia’s largest community health center by the number of sites and patients. 
The organization's mission emphasizes safe, accessible, affordable, comprehensive, high-quality, and culturally sensitive care. It serves communities facing disease, limited access to care, poverty, or lack of insurance, developing sites to address each community's unique needs, and in October 2025 announced the deployment of 3D mammography equipment to expand screening options for Buckingham County and surrounding counties.
