The mission of Centro Latino de San Francisco is to assist the elderly in obtaining the economic and social support they need so they can function independently and live with dignity. Born out of a nutrition project called Los Mayores de Centro Latino, Centro Latino has since become a full-service community center providing a wide range of life sustaining and enrichment services to over 2,000 diverse, low-income elderly adults and their families, including persons with disabilities and immigrants. Nutrition remains our core focus with regular meal service and nutrition classes, however we also offer recreational and educational activities, ESL/Citizenship classes, and health care advocacy, among other services.
