Centro Romero is a nonprofit based in Chicago, Illinois, focused on helping immigrants and refugees achieve self-sufficiency. For more than four decades it has operated a set of interrelated programs, including a Youth Learning and Leadership initiative, Family Services (comprising the Women's Program, Public Benefits Program, and the New Americans Initiative), Adult Education, and Legal Services. Its long-term aim is to integrate its participants into mainstream American society by emphasizing education, leadership development, advocacy, and service across these areas. The organization is positioned as a mid-sized community-based entity serving the immigrant and refugee population on the northeast side of Chicago. In August 2025, Centro Romero hosted its annual Mujeres on the Run, a 5K event that highlights women’s voices within the community.
