CFO Your Way provides customized accounting services to businesses that don’t have the need or the resources for a full time in house accounting staff.  My services are tailored to meet the needs of each client.  Whether it is bookkeeping or higher level services such as financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting, or accounting software implementation and training, I get to know my clients and meet their needs by becoming part of their management team.  Unlike traditional CPA firms, who see their clients once or twice a year, I work very closely with my clients.  

Once a part of an organization, I work as if I am part of that organization, looking for ways to increase efficiency, ways to cut costs, and free up ownerships time to concentrate on other areas of their business rather than the accounting.

One of my clients is a personal trainer.  When I started with him, his accounting records consisted of a checkbook and bank statements.  I summarized his activity for the past year and brought his records up to date.  He now knows that he is running a profitable business and has even been able to obtain a line of credit.  I have saved him in excess of $4,000 by reviewing his costs.  The biggest saving was a review of his workers compensation policy to uncover that the premium was based on double the actual compensation being paid.

This example highlights that business owners have enough on their plate running their business and don’t have time to concentrate on accounting or things such as the importance of building a banking relationship so that when the time arises, funds are available.
