CGAP, housed at the World Bank and based in Washington, DC, is a global partnership of more than 35 development organizations focused on advancing financial inclusion to reduce poverty, with an emphasis on women. It operates at the frontier of inclusive finance, testing solutions, sparking innovation, generating evidence, and sharing insights to inform public and private action. As a global public good, its independent research and analysis are available to all. Its knowledge helps policymakers, financial service providers, and other public and private stakeholders scale solutions that meet the needs of poor, vulnerable, and underserved people and micro and small enterprises, including advancing women’s economic empowerment. Recent developments include collaborations to advance Open Finance guidelines with the Bank for International Settlements, IMF, the World Bank, and UNSGSA.
