It was founded in 1947 in the island of Capri by Pietro Capuano and Salvatore Aprea. Their creations soon became famous for the unique blend of colors, gemstones and joyful spirit.   
Starting from the Dolce Vita period Chantecler jewels became an absolute must-have for the visitors of Capri island. Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Onassis, Brigitte Bardot, Ingrid  Bergman highly valued Chantecler jewels inspired by the “Pure Capri Esprit”. 
Since 1947 the family business evolved into a structured company, however, Chantecler still  remains one of the few jewelry companies run by the heirs of its founder, able to transmit the brand values exactly in the same way their father did half a century ago.
