The Charleston RiverDogs are a Minor League Baseball club based in Charleston, South Carolina. They compete as a Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, after previously aligning with the New York Yankees. Home games are played at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park near The Citadel. The organization, which has produced notable alumni such as B.J. Upton, Carl Crawford, Rocco Baldelli, and Delmon Young, is majority-owned by Marvin Goldklang, who also holds stakes in several other minor league teams. In recent years the RiverDogs have pursued community-oriented initiatives, including a 2020 program for students and a COVID-19 readiness plan, and they have partnered with MUSC Health to offer healthier concession options at the ballpark, including Mediterranean Healthy Nachos.
