Charlotte UAV is a fully licensed and insured drone services provider and robotics manufacturer located in Charlotte, NC. Founded in 2013 by two former Air-force veterans, Charlotte UAV has grown to 2 locations and offers hardware, software, training, consulting, and services to municipalities, universities, energy utilities, design-build firms, Hollywood production houses, and the United States Department of Defense. Notable Projects: • Developed small portable remote 4K remote camera platform in 24 hours for time sensitive fire inspection evaluation--Saved $160,000 in setup for other methods of inspection services. • Developed multi-rotor platform to carry both CCD and CMOS image sensors to identify and detect cracks remotely. The platform was able to identify the frequency and magnitude of vibrations in lab testing for the Nuclear Power industry. •Designed and built an autonomous ground rover for nuclear cold storage containment inspections; performed inspection to the same standards a current methods, also removed the human risk factor by not exposing any personnel to the containment area - $75k in man hour savings annually • Developed a small autonomous boat platform capable of carrying a R2 sonic underwater multibeam sonar-this project came at a time when the C-130 was grounded for wing cracks and the current survey vessel was no longer able to be transported around the globe. With our solution they were able to transport our equipment combined with the matching multibeam equipment and survey mission critical shores of foreign countries. • Developed a 256bit encrypted secure data link and software for remote control of radiation monitoring via multi-rotor aircraft-customer was able to identify lab test radiation sources of cs137 • Developed a multi-payload platform for off the shelf multi-rotor aircraft to carry a leaflet dispenser, software definable radio, and loud speaker.
