Chateau Grand Traverse is a family-owned winery based in Traverse City, Michigan, and is recognized as Northern Michigan's founding winery with a focus on Riesling and other cool-climate vinifera wines. Founded in 1974, the operation grows, produces, and bottles its wines on sustainably farmed, family-owned vineyards on the Old Mission Peninsula. It positions itself around a grower-first approach that combines vineyard stewardship with winemaking to express the region's distinctive character.

Its wines cater to consumers who value place-based, terroir-driven Michigan wines and appreciate a direct connection to the soil and local landscape. The business reflects a long-standing commitment to responsible land use and multi-generational stewardship, aligned with its family-run heritage. It has earned industry recognition, including Best of Class honors, and in 2020 formed a partnership with Step Up Northern Michigan to support meals for local families.
