Chattanooga CARES, the Council on AIDS Resources, Education, and Support, operates within the wellness and fitness services sector to assist people affected by HIV through a combination of education, health access, social support, and advocacy. The organization is organized into three departments—Prevention Education, the Chattanooga Primary Care Center, and Client Services—delivering comprehensive wellness and support services to residents of Southeast Tennessee. In addition to care for those living with or affected by HIV, CARES provides free on-site screenings for HIV, Hepatitis C, and sexually transmitted infections, and conducts off-site educational programs for interested organizations. A recent partnership initiative includes collaboration with Curant Health to offer a care management program to a subset of non-adherent HIV-positive patients, reflecting a broader approach to patient-centered support. Chattanooga CARES is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and serves a community-focused mission through its local programs and services.
