At the Chattanooga Housing Authority, we believe everyone deserves a safe, welcoming and affordable place to call home. Since 1938, we’ve been working alongside our residents and the community to create neighborhoods where people can thrive, grow, and feel connected to community.

We manage more than 2,300 homes across 14 communities, serving families and seniors with programs designed to provide stability and support. Beyond our managed communities, CHA administers over 3,600 Housing Choice Vouchers. These vouchers help residents choose their own homes and neighborhoods in the private market, giving them the independence to shape their own lives.

CHA is leading the One Westside Development, a neighborhood revitalization effort focused on improving homes, streets, and local services while fostering economic opportunities Chattanooga's Westside neighborhood. 

Guided by a dedicated Board of Commissioners and a team of passionate staff, CHA committed to making every resident feel supported. We provide programs and partnerships that encourage education, skill-building, and personal growth, so residents can thrive in their homes and communities.
