Chaumette Vineyards & Winery is a boutique wine producer and hospitality destination based in Missouri, within the Ste. Genevieve area and the Ozark Mountain AVA about 70 miles south of St. Louis. Established in 1990 by Hank and Jackie Johnson, the estate spans roughly 310 acres, with about 30 acres planted to grapevines. The winemaking program focuses on dry and off-dry styles and features Norton, Missouri's state grape, along with several French-American hybrids such as Chardonel, Traminette, Chambourcin, and Vignoles. It operates a resort-style experience that includes private villa accommodations, a pool, and a full-service restaurant, in addition to a year-round tasting room. The venue also hosts outdoor live entertainment during warmer months and has earned industry recognition, including The Knot Best of Weddings awards and a USA Today Readers' Choice ranking for best winery restaurant in 2022. Its offerings target wine enthusiasts and travelers seeking a destination winery experience, as well as events such as weddings.
