Cherokee Ranch & Castle Foundation is a Colorado-based nonprofit that preserves the natural environment, enriches cultural life, and provides educational opportunities focused on western heritage, wildlife, and the arts. Located in Sedalia, the historic Cherokee Ranch encompasses more than 3,400 acres of protected open space and includes Cherokee Castle, a Scottish-inspired landmark designed by Burnham Hoyt in 1925. The foundation carries forward the land stewardship and cultural enrichment legacy of its former owner, Tweet Kimball. It offers a range of programs and experiences, including educational tours, outdoor learning, cultural events, weddings, and community programming that connect visitors with Colorado’s heritage and landscape.

In November 2025, the organization partnered with the Colorado Photographic Arts Center to offer a yearlong residency program for photographers at the estate. The foundation operates within the nonprofit sector and serves visitors, learners, event participants, and researchers interested in history, nature, and the arts.
