The Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum is dedicated to the history of the Cherokee Strip Land Rush of September 16, 1893 and the early local history. We have exhibits that tell the stories of early Wichita culture, the Cherokee Strip Land Rush, Chilocco Indian Agricultural School, the 101 Ranch, Railroad, pioneer life and more! We hold several annual events including a Mountain Man Encampment, a Renaissance Festival, melodramas and murder mysteries.
