Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Maryland that serves as the physical site of The Wildfowl Trust of North America, Inc., with a focus on stewardship and sustainability through environmental education and habitat restoration. It operates a 500-acre wildlife preserve in Grasonville and is open to the public seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering activities such as hiking, bird watching, kayaking, picnicking and workshops. It also hosts school field trips and relies on volunteers, with more than 10,000 students visiting annually from Pennsylvania to Maryland and volunteers contributing over 10,000 hours each year. In May 2026, CBEC announced plans to develop accessible trails within the coming year and noted a renewed partnership with the Waterfowl Festival.
