Chester Theatre Company is committed to presenting intelligent, contemporary, language-rich, thought-provoking plays produced by world class theatre professionals. We often produce world, American, and New England premieres.

Located in the foothills of the Berkshires, Chester Theatre Company brings artists and audiences together to create a community that can express hopes and fears, open ourselves to lives and stories outside our own, and share thoughtful conversations about complicated issues.

Chester produces primarily in the summer, working with Equity actors and stage managers on an SPT contract. We have a small year-round staff, a number of seasonal employees, and an active summer intern program.
