The Chicago Bungalow Association is a non-profit organization located in Chicago, Illinois, focused on homeowners of Chicago bungalows and vintage homes. It was established in September 2000 by Mayor Richard M. Daley to ensure that the approximately 80,000 one-and-a-half-story bungalows—about one-third of the city’s single-family housing stock—would continue to support families and neighborhoods. The association provides energy efficiency programs, educational seminars and workshops, design guidelines, and recognition programs to help owners modernize, repair, and adapt their homes, working with the City of Chicago, Aldermen, neighborhood organizations, and other non-profit groups. The organization has a small staff of 2 to 10 employees and operates from 53 West Jackson Boulevard, Suite 740, Chicago, Illinois. It maintains a website at chicagobungalow.org and reports annual revenue in the range of $1 million to $10 million.
