CSI is a Nebraska-based nonprofit founded in 1892 that serves the Omaha area and its surrounding community. It runs programs addressing prevention, intervention, and healing from child abuse, neglect, and abandonment, with the goal of supporting children and families. Through donor support, the organization serves more than 3,000 kids and families annually.

In late 2025 CSI merged with Children's Square, expanding its footprint to the campus in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and planning capital improvements there. The organization pursues partnerships such as with Project Harmony in Nebraska to provide safety and support, and with Bellevue University for staff development and tuition reimbursement. It also hosts community events like its Cabaret fundraiser, reflecting ongoing community engagement.
