The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving treatment, quality of life, and long-term outcomes for children and families affected by brain or spinal cord tumors. Based in New York City, it offers programs for patients and families—from diagnosis through post-treatment and bereavement—developed and delivered by its professional staff. The foundation collaborates with more than 230 children’s hospitals to provide access to support and resources at various stages of the disease journey. Since its founding about 31 years ago, CBTF has funded pediatric brain tumor research through more than 75 grants totaling $10.5 million and has provided over $650,000 for professional training and clinical fellowships in pediatric neuro-oncology. The organization emphasizes community support through groups, retreats, and resource guides, and has formed partnerships with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and with Kids Helping Kids.
