Children's Center is a private, non-profit child abuse intervention center based in Oregon City, Oregon, accredited by the National Children's Alliance. It receives referrals from law enforcement, child protective services, parents, teachers, health care providers, and others concerned for a child's welfare, with a mission to support and medically assess children suspected of abuse or neglect. The center provides comprehensive medical examinations and developmentally appropriate forensic interviews to address concerns such as physical, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, drug endangerment, and witnessing violence in Clackamas County. Examinations may include testing like urine, hair analyses, or x-rays, and forensic interviews are digitally recorded and observed by child protective services and law enforcement. Family support services are available to caregivers regardless of whether the child is seen, and the organization, founded as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2002, relies on a multidisciplinary team and community partners to promote child safety.
