China Steel Corporation (CSC) is a steel producer based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, founded in December 1971. It manufactures about 10 million tonnes of crude steel annually and offers a broad range of products, including plates, bars, wire rods, hot and cold rolled coils, electrogalvanized coils, electrical steel coils, hot-dip galvanized coils, and Ti/Ni-base alloy. The company largely serves the domestic market, which accounts for around 70% of output, with exports making up the remaining 30%; CSC is Taiwan's largest steel producer and holds a dominant share of the domestic market. Its exports reach Mainland China (including Hong Kong), Japan, and Southeast Asia. A notable recent development is CSC's partnership with Marubeni to jointly develop the Port Hedland Iron project, with POSCO serving as the lead partner.
