Mission: The Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony (CVYS) provides a unique opportunity for area youth to develop and showcase their artistry in the symphonic tradition while enhancing their lives and the cultural environment of the communities they live in.

Youth Involved: Musicians in 7th through 12th grade may audition to participate.  Musicians are selected based on their playing ability and the need of instrumentation to create a balanced orchestra. The Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony does not discriminate based on sex, race, religion, disability or national origin.

Demographics: Our musicians come from the Greater Chippewa Valley.  CVYS is comprised of 77 student musicians. 68 students are from high schools in their communities, four are in middle school.  We also have five home schooled youth in our program.
