Chivas USA is a professional soccer club that competes in Major League Soccer. Founded in 2004 as MLS's eleventh team, the club is based in Carson, California, and plays its home games at The Home Depot Center, a stadium and multi-sport facility on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. It is owned by Mexican investors and operates as the sister club to Club Deportivo Guadalajara, commonly known as Chivas, making it the only wholly Mexican-owned team among major professional sports in the United States.

As part of its MLS presence, the club serves fans and players in the Los Angeles region by delivering professional soccer and opportunities for community engagement. By 2009, Chivas USA had qualified for the playoffs for a fourth consecutive year, illustrating its competitive performance in the league's early years. In 2024, the club announced a partnership with iVision Mobile to develop and manage mobile campaigns and real-time engagement features, underscoring its efforts to connect with supporters through digital channels.
