Christian Healthcare Ministries is a nonprofit, voluntary cost-sharing network that enables participating Christians to share one another’s medical bills. It operates not as a traditional health insurer but as a community in which thousands of Christians across the United States and around the world pool resources to cover medical costs. Founded in 1981 and based in Barberton, Ohio, CHM is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization guided by its scriptural principles, including Galatians 6:2 and Acts 2 and 4. 

Its customers include individuals, families, churches, and related groups seeking an alternative to traditional health insurance through shared medical expenses. In late 2025 the organization announced a partnership with Five9 to modernize member engagement.
