The CHU Toulouse is a university hospital located in Toulouse, Occitanie, France, operating within the hospitals and health care sector as a reference health institution for the region. It employs between 5,001 and 10,000 staff, including about 4,000 physicians and 12,000 hospital personnel, across multiple sites in the northern and southern parts of the city. The center treats around 280,000 inpatients and more than 800,000 consultations per year, with cancer care accounting for roughly a quarter of activity, and in 2014 it established the Institut universitaire du cancer de Toulouse (IUCT) in partnership with collaborators such as the Institut Claudius Regaud. It participates in national coordination networks and is linked to 13 reference centers for rare diseases and 68 centers of competence. In teaching and training, CHU Toulouse partners with two faculties of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry at Université Toulouse III-Paul Sabatier, and opened the PREFMS regional campus in 2015 to consolidate 11 health-profession schools and institutes.
