Church Initiative is a nonprofit, nondenominational ministry that equips churches to support individuals facing divorce, grief, and single-parenting. It provides a network of support group programs that are implemented in thousands of churches across the United States, Canada, and beyond, offering resources such as DivorceCare, DivorceCare for Kids, GriefShare, and Single & Parenting to address the varied needs of congregants and their families. The organization serves churches as its primary clients, helping them establish and operate Christ-centered groups that offer guidance and community to people navigating personal hardship. Based in Wake Forest, North Carolina, Church Initiative positions itself within the religious institutions sector, focusing on ministry support and program development rather than direct consumer services. A recent development notes the launch of GriefShare en Español in conjunction with its Single & Parenting program, expanding access to its grief and loss curricula.
