CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization that supports international education and intercultural exchange. Founded in 1947 and based in Portland, Maine, it operates a global network of study centers and programs, including 67 centers in 45 countries and more than 286 study abroad programs for over 10,000 students annually from U.S. colleges and universities. It also serves as a major sponsor for U.S. Department of State J-1 visa programs.

In 2015 it launched the Open Campus model to provide flexible, multi-location international experiences.
