The Cinetopia International Film Festival returns to southeast Michigan on June 4-8! Now in its third year, Cinetopia will present the best feature-length dramas, comedies, and documentaries from the world’s best film festivals - like Sundance, Cannes, Venice, and Toronto - to venues across the metro area, such as the Detroit Film Theatre at the Detroit Institute of Arts, College for Creative Studies, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Cinema Detroit, and the Michigan and State Theaters in Ann Arbor. Special programs include Opening Night parties at the DIA and the Michigan Theater; a symposium honoring the work of maverick director John Sayles; an invitation-only 25th anniversary screening of "Do the Right Thing" with groundbreaking filmmaker Spike Lee; free outdoor screenings; post-film audience Q&A sessions with directors and stars; and more! Sponsored by Knight Foundation, MASCO Corporation Foundation, Toyota, AT&T, and MGM Grand Detroit.
