Circle of Women is a student-run nonprofit organization based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, founded in 2006. It works to expand access to secondary education for girls in developing countries by building and supporting sustainable schools in partnership with local communities. The organization's mission is to equip girls with self-reliance, knowledge, and increased capacities to improve their own lives and contribute to their societies. Among its projects, it established a secondary school for 1,200 girls in Afghanistan, a country where female literacy has historically been very low.
