Citizen Action of Wisconsin is a mid-sized civic organization focused on organizing people across the state to improve the places where they live and work. It uses an integrated approach that combines grassroots organizing, educational programming, earned media, civic engagement, voter outreach, and political lobbying to influence policy discussions around health care, economic development, climate equity, and racial justice. The organization also conducts public education and professional research to inform advocacy and consumer protection efforts.

Based in Wisconsin and active across the state from Eau Claire to Milwaukee, the group mobilizes residents, generates media attention, and engages voters in political advocacy. It has organized events and partnerships, such as hosting a Milwaukee County Community Conversation on Budget, Climate, Transportation, and Equity in October 2025. These activities reflect its approach to shaping public discourse and advancing policy priorities through education, outreach, and advocacy.
