From our humble roots as a railroad water station, the City of Allen, Texas has always been about connections and service. Allen is 25 miles north of Dallas, Texas and is a home rule city with a council-manager form of government. This combines the policy leadership of elected officials with the managerial expertise of an appointed city manager.
