The City of Bay City is the County Seat for Matagorda County which is located midway between Galveston and Corpus Christi, right where the Colorado River meets the Gulf of Mexico. Bay City's current population is ~19,000 and seems to be on the rise with billions of dollars going into the construction of industry plants around us. The City of Bay City has annual operating budget of roughly $33 million and employs more than 200 people.
