The City of East Ridge is a municipal government in Hamilton County, Tennessee, located just south of Chattanooga near the Georgia–Tennessee border. It operates under a council-manager framework with a City Manager as chief executive and a Mayor plus four at-large councilors forming the City Council; the city provides a broad range of municipal services including public safety, sanitation, infrastructure maintenance, planning and zoning, and administrative functions.
East Ridge sits within the Chattanooga metropolitan area and is connected to the region’s highway network at the I-75 and I-24 interchange. The city has been designated by the state as a Main Street USA and a Three Star City, and is part of the Chattanooga, TN-GA MSA that includes several counties and parts of North Georgia. In 2026, the city appointed Brian Koral as City Manager, and has continued to host regional events such as the Venue 1921 ribbon-cutting and the East Ridge Business Expo.
