The City of Port Coquitlam is a municipal government in the Metro Vancouver region, based in Coquitlam, British Columbia. It serves a community of about 61,000 residents and supports a growing mix of commercial and industrial areas. The city also preserves extensive parkland, including a large network of trails such as the 25-kilometre Traboulay PoCo Trail, contributing to a strong local identity. In January 2026 the Port Coquitlam Fire Department announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind support dog program to aid firefighters, staff, and residents in coping with stress and traumatic calls.
