The City of Yelm is the historic gateway to Mt. Rainier and one of the fastest growing communities in Washington State. We offer a wide variety of employment opportunities for those dedicated to providing exceptional public service.

Yelm was incorporated in 1924 and the government consists of a Mayor and City Council who are elected at-large to lead the City. A City Administrator is appointed to lead and manage all operations of the City, including:  economic development, human resources, public safety, emergency management, public works, IT, municipal court, and a state-of-the-art water reclamation facility.
