CivicAction is a Toronto-based nonprofit that brings together senior executives and rising leaders from across sectors to address social, economic, and environmental challenges in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. It operates as a non-partisan platform that builds strategic partnerships and launches campaigns, programs, and organizations aimed at delivering measurable regional impact. The organization runs a quadrennial summit to identify the region’s biggest issues, from which it derives its four-year agenda and launches initiatives to tackle those priorities. It also established the CivicAction Leadership Foundation to cultivate civic leadership, offering programs such as the Emerging Leaders Network and DiverseCity Fellows for young, under-represented, and emerging leaders. With a small to mid-sized team based in Toronto, CivicAction maintains a focus on leadership and collaborative action across sectors. In 2025 it launched Mission: Affordable, an initiative centered on evidence and storytelling to highlight the affordability crisis facing middle-income earners and to mobilize cross-sector responses.
