Class Act Federal Credit Union is a member‑owned financial cooperative in the banking sector, based in Louisville, Kentucky. It was founded in 1954 by a small group of JCPS teachers to meet the personal finance needs of educators and other school staff, offering loans and other credit at competitive rates. Over time, its field of membership expanded to include public school employees across the Metro Louisville area and many private schools. In 1994 the credit union expanded to include the University of Louisville through a merger with the University of Louisville Student & Alumni Credit Union. Today, as a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative, its mission remains to serve the personal finance needs of the local educational community.
