The Clean Energy Transition Institute is an independent, nonpartisan nonprofit based in Seattle, Washington, focused on accelerating the clean energy transition in the Northwest. It conducts research and analysis, serves as an information clearinghouse, and facilitates stakeholder convening to inform energy policy and planning, particularly around decarbonization pathways and related workforce and health impacts. Serving policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders, CETI analyzes how different sectors—buildings, fuels, electricity, and transportation—might shift under goals like net-zero emissions by 2050, and it provides assessments that support understanding of potential job changes and health outcomes. Since its founding, CETI has released several major studies and reports on Net-Zero Northwest pathways, energy transition planning for Idaho and the broader Northwest, and related workforce and health analyses, positioning itself as a resource for decarbonization analysis in the region.
