Clear Irons is a product development company in Chicago that is a nice mixture of industrial design consultancy, mechanical engineering group, prototyping shop, and visual arts studio. We embrace our propensity to cross disciplines, it challenges and helps us to be well rounded and versatile, at an individual level and as a company. We design and manufacture our own line of goods in house, utilizing the same skills and tools that we employ for a select group of clients. The consulting work we do helps inform the objects we manufacture, though both are driven by an honest desire to gather knowledge (and tools). We regularly work on different stages of development for a variety of industries, and are comfortable with single milestones or full design programs. We like to get our hands dirty, think it’s necessary to step back and forth between the physical world and virtual continually, and believe in prototyping early and often.
