ClearVision Optical (CVO) was founded in Long Island, NY in 1949 by a young and ambitious Navy veteran named Fred Friedfeld. With the help of his wife, Mimi, Fred set out to serve independent eyecare professionals by offering quality products and personal service. As the company grew, so did the Friedfeld family with their children playing a more active role over time. David (President) and Peter (Executive Vice President) Friedfeld learned firsthand the significance of building meaningful relationships with customers as partners. Over 70 years the company has evolved and modernized, but has stayed true to its core ideology: Treat others as you wish to be treated.
