Climate Justice Alliance is a Berkeley-based organization formed in 2013 to unite frontline communities and allied groups into a cohesive force within the climate movement. It pursues a translocal organizing approach and mobilizing capacity aimed at a Just Transition away from extractive systems of production, consumption, and political oppression toward resilient, regenerative, and equitable economies. The work centers race, gender, and class as core factors shaping solutions to advance a genuinely just transition. Based in the Berkeley area, the organization is a small to mid-sized network focused on organizing and coalition-building. In March 2026, Climate Justice Alliance partnered with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung to connect on-the-ground climate justice efforts with broader representation on Wikipedia and related Wikimedia projects.
